Summer Camps

Full descriptions of the 2009 Summer Camp offerings and a printable registration form will be coming soon.

Bloomington Montessori School offers four two-week sessions each summer. Our summer camps provide a fun and educational backdrop for children from preschool through 6th grade.

Summer camps will begin on Monday, June 8th. They will be in two week sessions as follows:

Session 1 6/8-6/19
  • Chess Camp for 1st-6th graders
  • Creative Writing for 2nd-6th graders (students need to be comfortable with writing independently)
Session 2 6/22-7/3
  • Art Camp for 1st-6th graders
  • Ultimate Frisbee for 4th-6th graders (3rd grade graduates & alumni welcome)
Session 3 7/6-7/17
  • Challenge Adventure Camp for 1st-6th graders
Session 4 7/20-7/31
  • Pets Large & Small for 1st-3rd graders
  • Gimp (GNU Image Manipulation Program)/Python & How to build a computer for 3rd-6th graders & alumni

Grade levels listed for the classes means the grade they will be in this coming Fall not the one they just completed. Some classes will accept graduates of that class. Just ask if you are not sure.

Preschool Children enjoy the Montessori Classroom Experience. For the Elementary Children, various options are available.

Space permitting, these programs are also open to the public.
